| Have you ever struggled with your emotions? Been overwhelmed by anxiety, panic
or constant sadness? Tried and tried, over and over, to make a personal change -
and yet never fully achieved what you want? Been to an unlicensed hypnotist who
just handed you a tape or CD off the shelf?
 You
don't have to suffer this way. I have over 30 years of experience as a
therapist, and have been using hypnosis as an integral part of my work
since the earliest days of my career. You can discover ways to manage
anxiety, master panic, and reconnect with your authentic self.
Perhaps
you've been told that you'll have to "live with" the chronic pain that
has lingered long after an injury has healed. Maybe someone gave you the
idea that your suffering is "all in your head". But even though your
suffering is real, you feel you are running out of options. Hypnosis does not replace your doctor's help - but it can become an important additional tool to reduce suffering.
If
you are not getting the results you want for personal change, perhaps
it's time for a new approach - one that holds promise for you and your
goals.
After an assessment of your situation, we will take a look
at what has been getting in the way of your progress, and develop an
action plan that will help you get going.
Please don't wait any longer to get the help you need and deserve. Call me at 402-334-1122. We'll find a time to get together, and determine how we can work together. Questions about me?
I
received my graduate degree in Social Work from the University of
Nebraska at Omaha in 1980. I began my study of hypnosis in 1982, and
continue to find it a subject of fascination, adaptability, and
versatility. I use this tool for habit control, pain management,
personal growth and psychotherapy. Through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis www.asch.net,
I hold the title of Approved Consultant in Clinical Hypnosis. This is
based on meeting the Association's standards for training, experience,
and continuing education. In
addition to my membership in ASCH, I've been active in my professional
organization -- the National Association of Social Workers. Having
previously held several regional and committee appointments, I was
elected President of the Nebraska Chapter for 1997 through 1999. NASW
reviews the credentials of behavioral health providers. I was awarded
the title Diplomate in Clinical Social Work in 1987. According to the
Association: "The NASW Diplomate in Clinical Social Work is the highest
distinction bestowed on clinical social workers." Additionally, I
am currently a Board Member of the Association of Private Practice
Therapists, serving as the Secretary. You can find out more about us here | |
| Choosing a Hypnosis Provider
You
might be surprised to find out that the title 'Hypnotist' is not
protected by law in Nebraska. That means that anyone who wants to hold
themselves out to the public using this title can do so. No special
education required! I
recommend that you choose a clinician with training in medicine,
dentistry, or a mental health profession -- someone who is licensed by Nebraska's Department of Regulation & Licensure in
his or her own profession. Since hypnosis is not a therapy in and of
itself, you'll find more complete assessment and more comprehensive
treatment from a licensed health care professional. If
you search the Regulation database, you'll find out that I am CMSW #24
and LIMHP/LICSW #200. Nebraska regulations provide that I may use the
title LICSW - Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. | | Contact information: Associated Counseling Professionals, PC 402-334-1122
